TIP OF THE DAY NO. 59 – TRYING ON CLOTHES

TIP NO. 59 – TRYING ON CLOTHES

When it is cold and you are all bundled up with sweaters, coats, and scarves, etc., or in the summer when you feel hot and sweaty, you probably don’t feel like getting undressed to try on a new blouse – or anything else.

So you  might buy it without trying it on, hoping it will fit (and suit you) or, what I have seen many women do, they try it on over what they are wearing – HELP – there is no garment – except a jacket or coat – that will look well when pulled over one you are wearing. “It will give me an idea if I like it”‘ a lady told me recently, while she was pulling one turtleneck over another – how can you like it when the shoulder seams are not in the right place and the sleeves are pulling in all directions?

If you don’t want to get undressed – don’t buy it or take the risk that you have to exchange it – but putting on a blouse over another one won’t give it a fair chance.

See you tomorrow

TIP OF THE DAY – NO. 5 LOOKING GOOD AND DRESSING WELL

TIP NO. 5  Don’t talk yourself into it – meaning if you are not sure that a garment looks good – standing up the collar, pushing up the sleeves, pulling it down in the back. opening a button  – won’t change it. You should like it the minute you put it on – if you do, standing up the collar will make it only more beautiful, but it should not be necessary for you to like it.

See you tomorrow
