TIP NO. 44 – NEVER SLEEP WITH YOUR MAKE-UP ON
When at 89 my mother died, she still had beautiful, clear skin, and was often asked what her secret was. “Never going to bed with my make-up on” was her reply.
It is also said that your gens have something to do with good skin, but this being so or not, taking good care of your skin will keep it young and healthy looking. – and it is therefore, most important to keep it clean – to remove the pollution of the day – to give it rest, a chance to breathe.
I know from experience that there are evenings I am so tired that I would rather just fall into bed, but making the effort not to, my face rewards me the next morning with looking healthy and fresh — your skin too will look better if you take your make-up off every night!

TIP NO 34. – BE CONSISTENT
Whatever we decide to do to improve ourselves – our looks, our health, our body —- will only work if done regularly. You’re not obliged to do something everyday, but work out a certain pattern such as a face masque once a week – exercise twice a week, or having four nights of enough sleep.
It’s like saving money: A little regularly will become a lot eventually!
No, I won’t see you tomorrow because I am going away, and believe it or not, to a place that has no internet connection – yes they still do exist – but I will see you again regularly as of February 27, 2013. Until then, stay well.
The other day I was waiting to get into the bus, when the woman who was coming out had trouble doing so because the four bags that hang from her shoulder and on her arms made it difficult.
Watching her I was wondering why she had four bags? Looking at the bags, I saw that one was full, another half empty, and two seemed to have nothing in them at all, and they were all handbags, not tote bags or shopping bags.
After that day I started to do a little research by looking at other women, and I found out that the average is 3 bags per woman.
And some of these bags I saw slung over the shoulder were very heavy, which is not a good thing for your posture in the long run. I know you need your cosmetics and personal things, and maybe you have your computer in one, and your gym clothes in another, but what do you have in the other bag.?
And having said this, not everyone has a computer to carry around, or goes to the gym, so what is in those bags? And why do we need them? Is there no way to reduce what we carry around every day? Or are these bags a kind of security blanket?
If you don’t want to look overloaded, or ruin your health by carrying around what you don’t need, reduce the bags you carry – two bags should be all you need – and one will even be better.
