If you have a little more bulk around your waist, also called a spare tire, (and who doesn’t?), there are a few tricks which will show it less, or not at all. Of course, very loose tops are the easiest, but maybe you don’t always want to hide in a flowing shirt. So to show a little more shape without emphasizing your middle in an unflattering light, here is what to do:
1. Don’t wear pants or skirts with a tight waistband – it pushes up the flesh and makes any extra pounds really show up. To avoid this problem and be comfortable at the same time find pants and skirts WITHOUT a waistband, and a little on the loose side.
2. Wear tops – even tighter t-shirt with a patterns – this has a way to even things out visually.
3. No wide belts – the width can’t help but emphasize what sits around your waist. If you want to wear a belt, wear a narrow one, or one that you tie, with the ends hanging over your hips.
You might think that there are not pants or skirts without a waistband because yours always had one, but they are out there, you just have to look for them. And to keep your silhouette looking slim around your middle, avoid pleated pants.
Until the next time
STAY WELL AND LOOK YOUR BEST
